Rosalind Simpson, MBACP Registered
I offer a flexible approach tailored to your individual needs and goals. I offer couple therapy and psychosexual (sex) therapy. This means that I am able to provide counselling for relationship issues such as arguing or cheating, as well as for sexual problems like porn addiction, or difficulties having sex.
Originally trained in Person-centred counselling and later in Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) I adopt an eclectic stance – tailoring my approach to what will support each client.
I have a business background and worked in healthcare for nearly thirty years.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychodynamic Therapy and CBT from Birkbeck, London University, and am qualified and registered with BACP as a psychotherapist and previously worked in an Addiction Centre and in an educational establishment. I am currently working towards accreditation with CORST as a Psychosexual and Couples Relationship Therapist.
I have worked as a therapist at a leading mental health charity with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety and stress related illnesses as well as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), eating disorders, phobias, Panic Disorder, sleeping difficulties, relational issues, bereavement and loss, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety, low self-esteem and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and am now working as a High Intensity CBT therapist in an NHS Trust.
I have worked with clients from multi-cultural and diverse backgrounds and am accustomed to working with challenging issues in a calm and non-judgemental way providing a safe space for clients to explore their issues and achieve their full potential.
I offer couples relationship therapy and individual and couples psychosexual therapy by appointment at The Grove Practice, 4 Wimpole Street, London W1G 9SH and Langdale House, Marshalsea Road, London SE1 1EN.
I accept self-referrals for long- or short-term therapy face-to-face or by Skype.
